Parkway Futsal

Parkway Futsal offers two programs for boys and girls between 3rd and 8th grade.

Travel futsal

  • Parkway Travel Futsal is appropriate for club soccer and futsal players and skilled travel soccer players looking for a highly competitive experience. Travel teams play in the Mass Youth Futsal League. Teams practice once per week and play games on Saturday (Sunday for grade 8 and up) against other clubs and towns. There are approximately 10 practices and 10 games between November and February. The cost is $340 per player. Tryouts are required. Financial assistance is available for players who cannot afford the registration fee.

House futsal

  • Parkway House Futsal is appropriate for anyone looking to develop or maintain their skills over the winter from beginners to more experienced players. There are approximately 8 to 10 sessions held between January and March. Each session is divided into skills work followed by a game between House players. The cost is $140 per player. Tryouts are not required. Financial assistance is available for players who cannot afford the registration fee.

FAQ

What ages?

We have programs for players (boys and girls) in grades 3 through 8. We are limited by practice space availability and number of coaches. We group players on teams or clinics by age so that their ages don't span too large of a time period.

Where does this league happen?

House and travel leagues will utilize practice space at the Park School, Roxbury Latin, and/or Bosse Sports. Travel teams will play games on the weekend in the 495 bounded area, but mostly at Park School, Fessenden School, and Rashi School.

Do you have to be a Parkway player/resident?

No, there is no residential requirement. Most players who make a travel team come from Parkway soccer. The house league program is an option for any players who do not make a travel team. Parkway Futsal is an independent entity from Parkway Soccer

What kind of gear do we need?

Futsal is played on a basketball court surface. Players must wear flat bottomed sneakers. No cleats or turf shoes. Regular sneakers are fine--there's no requirement to buy new shoes. Players must wear shin guards. Coaches will provide futsal balls and goals.

What is the cost?

The house league is $140 per player, and parents who coach pay half. The travel league is $340. Scholarships are available if the fees represent a financial hardship. Email parkwayfutsal@gmail.com if you need support. All inquiries will be kept confidential.

Can my son/daughter play on the same team as their friend?

Perhaps! There will likely be just one travel team per grade. House league players will scrimmage each other--so if the friend is in the same grade, they'll likely see them each week. Travel and house league players practice at different times/courts.

Can I sponsor?

Yes we'd love that! Email parkwayfutsal@gmail.com to discuss options.

Can I volunteer?

Yes! Parkway Futsal is entirely volunteer-run. We can always use more coaches, but there are other ways to help out, too. Email parkwayfutsal@gmail.com if you want to get involved. Student seeking service hours are welcome.

What days do you practice?

Practice schedules are not yet set, and due to limited practice space, a player will likely utilize a few different nights of the week. All house league sessions and all travel league practices are on weeknights.
